The Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD) functions as a processing unit dedicated to drying granulated materials for solid dosage forms through batch operations. It is equipped for drying, granulating, and coating processes. Operating in batches, the Fluid Bed Processor allows heated inlet air to uniformly flow through specially designed perforated sheets into the product vessel, effectively fluidizing the product and maintaining continuous motion. This facilitates optimal heat transfer and rapid drying rates. Additionally, integrated jet filters ensure a clear separation between the product area and the pure gas zone. Product particles remain contained within the processor throughout the process, while the process air exits from the top of the unit.
